These terms describe how OrivantAI works with its clients. OrivantAI is based in Ontario, Canada, and is the contracting party for every engagement described on this site. Each engagement is also covered by its own written agreement; where that agreement and these terms differ, the written agreement governs.
Pricing, in writing first
Every engagement is scoped and priced in writing before work starts. If the scope changes, the price conversation happens before the changed work, not after. Two desks publish their prices on this site — the DROP Cycle Desk and the AODA Filing Desk — and the published price is the price confirmed in your engagement letter. There is no obligation to continue past a first step: the audit, the pilot and the free deliverables each stand on their own.
What the desks do — and never do
The compliance desks prepare and operate; they do not act as you before a regulator, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
- DROP Cycle Desk: an operations service. We run the deletion cycle in your DROP account, with your API key, under a data processing agreement. We never register as you, and whether a record is deleted or exempt is your legal determination, or your counsel's.
- AODA Filing Desk: preparation only. We prepare the answer sheet and the documents behind it; your senior officer certifies the report, and your organization files it. We never certify or file for you.
- EPR Data Desk: data preparation only. We build the supply-data file; your officer reviews, attests and submits. We never submit a filing for you.
- Reactivation Desk: messages go only to your own past customers, where consent is current under Canada's anti-spam law, CASL, and every message carries an opt-out that is honoured straight away. You approve the wording before anything is sent.
You own everything
Clients own all code, data, domains and accounts produced or used in an engagement — registered to you, and built in your stack wherever possible. Everything we build keeps working without us if you leave. If you cancel a retainer or an ongoing desk, we hand over the files and records the work produced, including the DROP evidence file and the EPR audit file.
Your data
Your data is never used to train AI models, and we configure third-party providers the same way. Access is read-only and least-privilege by default — scoped to the job, and revocable by you at any time. How we handle personal information is set out in the privacy policy.
Free tools and deliverables
The readiness checkers, self-checks and free deliverables on this site are starting signals, not compliance verdicts. They read the answers you give; the paid preparation work verifies every answer against your organization's real records and documents. Examples shown on this site are labelled as illustrative.
