Accessibility is part of the build, not a coat of paint.
We prepare accessibility compliance reports for Ontario organizations, so our own site gets held to the standard first. This page says what that standard is, how the site was checked, where its limits are, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
The standard
This site is built and maintained to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Ontario's Integrated Accessibility Standards, under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, point organizations to WCAG 2.0 Level AA for web content. WCAG 2.1 Level AA covers everything in 2.0 and adds to it, so meeting 2.1 means the province's reference standard is met as well.
As of November 2026, the site conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, apart from the three third-party components listed under Known limits below. Accessibility is re-checked when pages and tools change; it is not a one-time exercise.
How it was checked
Every page on the site went through three passes in November 2026. An automated scan with axe-core looked for the markup problems tools can catch. Every pairing of text and background colour in the design was measured for contrast against the AA thresholds. And the interactive pieces — the navigation ticker, the AODA self-check, the DROP readiness checker with its hash test, and the contact form — were worked through by keyboard, with the result screens checked to make sure they are announced to assistive technology and take focus, not just appear on screen.
Known limits
Three parts of this site are built and run by other companies. We chose them, we keep an eye on them, and for each one there is another route to the same outcome — but their internal accessibility is theirs, not ours:
- The chat assistant in the corner of the screen is supplied by DocsBot, and its button and chat window are DocsBot's code. If it does not work with your setup, email reaches the same people.
- The spam check inside the contact form is Cloudflare Turnstile, and its challenge runs inside Cloudflare's frame. If you cannot complete it, write to us directly instead — the form is not the only door.
- The booking calendar on the contact page is embedded from Cal.com, and its calendar grid and controls are Cal's. A plain link beside it opens the booking page directly, and you can always arrange a call by email.
Tell us when something does not work
If a page, a tool or a document on this site does not work with your technology, tell us at [email protected] or through the contact page. We reply within one business day. If you need anything on this site in a different format, ask and we will provide it.
